AP College Football Rankings - NCAA Top 25 Football Rankings

The AP college football rankings are now posted for week 3 of the season. In the NCAA top 25 football rankings a first place vote gets a team twenty-five points while a twenty-fifth place vote gets a team one point.

The week 3 AP top 25 football poll has three ACC teams, five Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, four Big Ten teams, two Pac-10 teams, five SEC teams, and four mid-major teams - BYU, Fresno State, East Carolina, and Utah. The first five teams on the outside of the NCAA top 25 football poll are Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, TCU, Boise State, and Arizona State. USC, Georgia, and Florida split the number 1 votes with USC taking the majority and therefore retaining the overall number 1 spot in the AP top 25 for the 3rd week in a row.

California and Arizona State moved out of the NCAA top 25 football rankings while Florida State and Clemson moved in. The AP college football rankings for week 4 will be out by Monday, September 22.
