AP Poll Football - Associated Press College Football Top 25

The AP poll football top 25 is now available for week 6 of the season. Teams in the Associated Press college football top 25 earn twenty-five points for a 1st place vote and one point for a 25th place vote.

The week 6 AP football poll has three ACC teams, six Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, three Big Ten teams, one Pac-10 team, six SEC teams, and four mid-major teams - BYU, Utah, Boise State, and Ball State. The first five teams on the outside of the Associated Press football poll are Wisconsin, Tulsa, Illinois, California, and Northwestern. For the second week in a row the number 1 votes were split by Oklahoma, Alabama, and Missouri with Oklahoma earning the majority and therefore keeping the overall number 1 spot in this week's AP poll top 25.

Connecticut, Oregon, Fresno State, and Wisconsin all moved out of the Associated Press college football top 25 while Pitt, UNC, Ball State, and Michigan State moved in. The AP poll football top 25 for week 7 will be out by Monday, Oct 13.
