BCS Football Rankings - Bowl Championship Series Top 25

The BCS football rankings are now viewable for week 8 of the college football season. The Bowl Championship Series top 25 is calculated using the USA Today coaches poll, Harris poll, and six computer-based ranking systems: Anderson & Hester, Colley Matrix, Dr. Peter Wolfe, Jeff Sagarin, Kenneth Massey and Richard Billingsley.

The week 8 BCS football top 25 has two ACC teams, six Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, four Big Ten teams, one Pac-10 team, four SEC teams, and six mid-major teams - Utah, Boise State, TCU, Tulsa, Ball State, and BYU. All 9 undefeated college football teams are included in this week's Bowl Championship football rankings: Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Utah, Boise State, Tulsa, and Ball State.

The Bowl Championship Series rankings come out for the first time after week 8 of the college football season, so this is the first week for the BCS football top 25.
The Bowl Championship Series top 25 for this week consists of the same 25 teams that are in the USA Today poll while BC replaces Northwestern in the AP and Harris polls.The week 9 BCS football rankings will be out by Monday, Oct 27.
