USA Today Top 25 Football - College Football Coaches Rankings

The week 5 USA Today top 25 football poll is out. The college football coaches rankings award twenty-five points for a 1st place vote and one point for a 25th place vote.

The week 5 USA Today coaches rankings has two ACC teams, six Big 12 teams, two Big East teams, three Big Ten teams, two Pac-10 teams, six SEC teams, and four mid-major teams - BYU, Boise State, Fresno State, and Utah. The first five teams on the outside of the USA Today top 25 football coaches rankings are Northwestern, Michigan State, Kentucky, Ball State, and Maryland. Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, and Texas split the number 1 votes with Oklahoma taking the majority and therefore earning the number one overall spot in this week's USA Today top 25 football poll.

TCU, Illinois, and Clemson moved out of the USA Today top 25 football poll while Oklahoma State, Connecticut, and Virginia Tech moved in. The college football coaches rankings for week 6 will be out by Monday, October 6.
